My homework project is done and submitted. I was hoping to enjoy a few moments of relaxation and doing nothing important. But I think I ate something at lunch that took the energy right out of me. And I drink a lot of caffeine, so that's a lot of energy to lose.
So I'm basically in bed hoping that I wake up refreshed and ready to start our final group project before the capstone project. We have been learning Socket.io and Websockets. It doesn't seem very difficult and the concepts are pretty straightforward. Our mission will be to clone Slack. And Slack has a LOT of functionality under the hood. This is going to be a big assignment if we are all able to get it to function correctly.
One big lesson of a bootcamp is to take care of your body. If you have ever crammed for exams, a bootcamp is basically that for 12 straight weeks. So its easy to forget about things like having a routine, going to the gym, or eating properly. Don't do that! Stick to your routines as much as possible. If you don't have routines, make some. I promise it will help you get through the cohort. Get at least 7 hours of sleep and make that a priority over doing your homework. Yeah it sounds counter-intuitive but I guarantee that being sleepy in class is going to cause more problems than staying up until 2am to get a perfect score on a homework assignment.
