My head feels physically heavier since spending the entire weekend doing my group project. I'd like to believe my head is full of knowledge. But its certainly from lack of sleep. Which is odd since I'm still getting a decent 7 hours of sleep each night. On the other hand I'm also studying for more than 10hrs every day so perhaps its time to stick to a MINIMUM of 8hrs per night.
The group project was a success! I'm so proud of my team and our effort this weekend. We spent the entirety of Saturday together working on the website. And on Sunday we were working on it remotely for most of the day as well. And all that hard work paid off in a site that looked good and behaved well too. My take-home lesson from the weekend is that working with Github is a real pain until you know exactly what you are doing. I can tell that its a powerful tool. I'd never had to use the version control capabilities until Sunday, and it makes me wonder how developers existed before version control tools came along.
Today we jumped back into javascript and started getting into modules and constructors. But my brain feels like a wet nerf football and I couldn't really get anything we went over. Fortunately, tomorrow's lesson will be more in-depth. And because I was able to get my homework mostly done before the end of class I have the chance to study ahead of time. Or maybe I can practice a good hand position so I don't keep accidentally hitting the mousepad with my wrist and screwing up things with random clicks.
I did also stumble across a bunch of online games and tutorials that might be worth studying tonight. There is part of me that wants to relax and enjoy my extra moments of free time. And then there is a voice that keeps telling me to focus on learning and once I get a job then I can back off a bit and enjoy myself a little.
On a side note, using my Windows PC feels like using a relic and I'm really starting to enjoy using the Macbook.
