That is precisely right.
It is making progress against us - slowly but surely. Not the other way around.
And, to contrast it with COVID which if you are healthy you will most likely suffer through, recover and forget, if you are every unfortunate enough to get MDR TB, you will most likely never forget it or get rid of it and both the quality and the duration of your life will indeed go down.
