New York definitely is a major center.

During the pandemic they moved the homeless to hotels in the center of town and stopped doing much to deal with the crime. There are literally people who assault somebody, get arrested, get released the same day and then the next day go assault somebody else. On top of it, this is a city where it is almost impossible to get a firearm legally. So the city, or some parts of it, basically has turned into a dump.

Oh, and for awhile at least (not sure if they still do it) they had strict medical apartheid in place: like, you could not even sit down at a restaurant and get a meal unless you got the COVID shot. So this is NYC for you now.
