Welp, there we were! 😄 Laying in bed, watching a livestream of the election results unfold... When the evening first began, I retained a sense of optimism; I knew that Kamala could not win. Other people, like my husband, were extremely cautious; they recalled how the 2020 results had gone, and they refused to grant themselves any hope until it was official.
But I assured my husband that, had that election not been rigged, it would have gone exactly how this night was progressing! 🙏 He, along with every other supporter, had not been wrong for assuming it was in the bag -- it was supposed to be.
As other people, even the pessimists, began to feel the undeniable energy around them. I slowly saw their hope and happiness start to seep through, their brick walls come crumbling down... The feeling was comparable to Christmas night, the endless buzzing of excitement in anticipation for the following morning! 🤩 Wanting to fall asleep, but being too anxious to be able! 😖
I haven't laughed so effortlessly in a very long time. I haven't felt that sense of union in years as well, all of our thought and energy being focused at a singular desire...
Then the moment finally arrived: the moment the results became irreversible. No matter how many additional Kamala votes were counted, she would not be able to catch up to Trump.
No, I did not cry! 😂 But I did feel an immense wave of relief... The darkness has not entirely vanished, but for now, we can finally rest easy for awhile...
I don't think people truly recognize the hope that Trump represents. This is not only about America, but about the universal laws of truth and justice. Again, even if you were for Kamala, you knew that she was not the United States president, let alone the first female president 😬 Even if you were voting purely out of spite, you knew that it was not going to happen.
Add on the fact that Trump has been villianized for nearly a decade, compared to Hitler, accused of rape, threatened for millions over frivolous charges, nearly assassinated -- I don't think people realize that Trump should not be alive today, he was meant to die on that fateful day. Had he not turned his head a fraction of a centimeter at the last possible second, he would not be alive.
Which is why quite a few people have called this God's will; the election could not have gone any other way. You cannot fight fate.
