What better way to start a new month than to start in dominion? We just concluded our annual convention with the theme dominion and I'll be sharing some excerpts from a Bible study with you.
What is dominion?
We already know that dominion means being in charge but how can we enter into the realm of dominion?
The acronym D.O.M.I.N.I.O.N
You must know exactly what Jesus Christ's power is and take dominion of the power He has given the church. Here are the principles outlined for you in the acronym: D. O. M. I. N. I. O. N.
Know Jesus (Phil.3:10), know dominion
No Jesus (Jn. 15:1-10), no dominion
O = Obtain Knowledge on the Effective Use of Your Weapons. Just as the conflict is spiritual, so are our weapons (2 Cor 10: 3) . Everyone that is going to walk in dominion must value PRAYER, LOVE RIGHTEOUSNESS and the WORD. Hide the Word in your heart, so that when an attack comes you can use that double-edged sword (Eph. 6:17, Heb. 1:9). Unfortunately we have so many Wordless Christians. They are more concerned with the cares of this world and hence they do not dominate where and when it matters. You want to operate in dominion Eat Breathe and Live the Word. Which still links to the first point as Jesus is the Word (Jn.1:1-5)
Have the Word in you. Study it because it ensures you're not put to shame on the field of battle 2Tim2:15
M = Maintain Your Relationship With The Body Of Christ. Christ's body is a living, moving entity. Stay close to the church (Colossians 1:18) . We are in Him and He is in us. We're in the world but not of this world (Eph. 2:5) .

But the believer knows that corporate anointing encourages and strengthens the believer.

I = Identify Your Enemy. How can you win a battle if you don't know who you are fighting? Identity begins with knowing who you are and whose you are in Christ. This gives security and confidence to fight the enemy in his territory (Acts 19:15).
And we must know our enemy and I don't mean that guy you're beefing or you think is jealous of you. Eph6:12
N = Never Be Unprepared. Don't ever let your guard down (2 Cor. 2:11) . You're devil-proof by the blood of Jesus, so hold on to your weapons and never lay them down. Never take your eyes off Jesus (Heb. 12:2). Prayer is a weapon use it always 1Thess 5:17. The devil is always scheming, he never rests 1Pet. 5:8, from his life mission Jn.10:10, so your guard must never be let down or else you give him the advantage 2Cor. 2:11
I = Imbibe The Spirit of Praise. Learn how to use the weapon of praise. Punish the devil with your praise. God inhabits the praises of His people, so the devil cannot stand where He is being praised (Acts 16:25; Psa. 67:5-7). The best time to praise is in the storm. And of course this comes after you have prayed. So when next you're in the storm pray and then put your praise on for the victory is already won.
Praise God in advance. Don't wait till He does something. Praise Him
Complete obedience is holiness. Total submission to God's Word. Do that and you live in dominion above and over the enemy. 1Pet. 5:6
In this final point know that the dominion is His - Christ's. He's only delegated it to you.
Jesus in His entire ministry on earth gave all glory to the father nd He instructs the believer to do the same Mt. 5:16.
Even His resurrection was to give glory to the father Phil. 2:9-11
So never let your dominion get into your head. Give all the glory to Whom it belongs
Apply these principles and you will see yourself operating in permanent and eternal dominion. God bless you.
