The Project
To bring you the idea of the project a bit closer, I will work through the whitepaper since it's pretty well written and very understandable.
The overall idea is to create the worldwide "go to" platform when it comes to eSports. It is built on three major pillars
- Education
- Entertainment
- Statistics
For each of those areas, the user can create a quality and unique content to publish on the website and earn ERT (eSports Reward Token) based on the rating and interaction your contribution generates.
Recognition of eSports
Since eSports is still in its infancies, a lot of effort is necessary to bring it to the broader masses and generate more acceptance for our passion.
Therefore, eSports.com committed to use 1% of there profits to help increase the recognition and acceptance. In the team's opinion, it is necessary to create a club structure similar to those of classic sports like football/soccer.
Clubs will be able to apply for grants according to some criteria and will be able to use it for things like:
- renting training space
- buy gaming equipment
- cover travel expenses for tournaments
- organizing events
What can you do on the website?
As already mentioned in the first paragraph, there will be a mechanism where you can earn the ERT by producing quality content for the platform and, more important, for other users.
To keep users on the platform, it will be possible to use this tokens to purchase Merchandise, Hardware and In-Game Items in their online eSports shop.
Another big point will be the eSports betting which will be provided on the website. Since there are some competitors like HEROcoin, I made a Review, we will see where this leads us.
However, both projects are part of the eSports Consortium and they also officially partnered up so this should be no disadvantage for both of them.

On top of all, they are planning to build an eSports University, located in Berlin where future top eSports athletes get the chance to practice in a professional surrounding with coaches, top quality equipment, and a perfect surrounding to focus.
Another big point will be a 24/7 Live Stream of eSports content and many other cool features are planned.
The team has a highly ambitious goal and a long way to go, but I am confident that they can manage this.
