I have been watching the markets lately and wanted to drop some quick thoughts.
it feels like that crazy AI semiconductor rush from early this year is finally cooling off a bit. stuff like SMH and SOXX had their massive run, but if you look closely, the money isn't leaving – it's just moving around. i've noticed VOO and even RSP are pushing up, which basically means the AI data center boom is starting to feed the broader economy. think construction, energy, and turbines. it’s not just google and broadcom eating all the pie anymore.
also geopolitics seem to be settling into a weird kind of stability? oil is chilling around $75 and with japan holding onto us treasuries, the bond market looks way less scary right now. we might actually be heading into a mini goldilocks phase.
personally, seeing how fast AI agents like microsoft copilot are getting adopted at my workplace, this isn't a short fad. this is a 10+ year shift. for anyone trying to build a retirement bag over the next 30 years, sticking to broad ETFs like VOO and pacing yourself seems like the easiest way to avoid going broke when we get old lol.
anyway, i've been reading up on how to structure my own portfolio to survive whatever happens next.
