Winter days by the river have a special value, especially when spent with family. This walk to the Nera River was simple, quiet, and filled with small moments that remain in the memory.

My parents and my brother's children were with me. The journey to the river was leisurely, with conversation and smiles, while the cold air gently woke us up and reminded us that winter was in full force. When we reached the shore, we decided to take a break.
We made coffee and sat on a bench by the river. While the steam rose from the cups, we watched the calm water of the Nera and the bare trees reflected in its flow. The silence was almost perfect, not burdensome, but soothing. We enjoyed those moments and observed nature.

The children, of course, had their own adventure. They played by the river, found sticks and improvised fishing rods from them, imagining how they were catching fish. They didn't need real equipment, their imaginations did everything. Their laughter and children's curiosity brought warmth to the cold winter landscape.

After resting, we headed to a nearby small lake located not far from the river. There we were greeted by the swans that live there and glide calmly on the surface of the water. We took corn with us and fed them, while they slowly approached us, completely accustomed to the presence of people.

This winter walk to the Nera and the small lake next to it was nothing spectacular, but it was genuine. A reminder that happiness often lies in the simplest things, in a cup of coffee by the river, a child's play and the sight of swans sailing peacefully through the winter water.
