Today I continue to talk about my photo walk around Peterhof.
Last time I finished my story on how we walked along the shores of the Gulf of Finland and went on to walk around the park.
We went around the Monplaisir Palace and ended up in another area with a landscape park.
The path led to the next fountain.
This walkway and landscape park were right in front of the windows of the Monplaisir Palace.
As I said, we were lucky with the sunny weather on this fall day.
Past the landscape park we went to the fountain.
Interestingly, the summer in this region is usually short and not very hot. It seemed to me that fountains are an attribute of the area with hot summers.
On the other hand, even on this autumn day in sunny weather, fountains could be admired for a long time.
Leaving this place we went to the Joke fountains.
This is another type of fountains that were not intended to be admired, but to amuse the guests of the Palace.
This bench at first glance may seem quite ordinary. Passers-by may wish to sit on it. But as soon as you come to the bench ...
... jets of water immediately pour over you.
So in the old days emperors had fun.
Leaving this fountain, we went for a walk further through the park, but I will talk about this next time.
