This plant lives in lowland tropical rainforests, mountain forests, peat forests, clam forests, limestone mountains, and savanna. In general, Nepenthes has three types of pockets, namely top pockets, bottom pockets and rosette pockets. The upper bag is a mature plant pouch, usually in the shape of a funnel or cylinder, without wings, does not have an attractive color, its vines face backward and can wrap around other plant branches, the upper bag more often catches the flying animal. as a mosquito or a fly, the pouch of this species is rarely even found in some species, for example N. ampullaria. The bottom bag is a bag produced on the part of young plants that is usually lying on the ground, has two wings which function as a tool for soil insects such as ants to climb the mouth of the bag and eventually drown in the enzymatic liquid in the rosette bag. The rosette bag has a similar shape. the same as the bottom bag, but the rosette bag grows on rosette-shaped leaves, examples of species that have this type of bag are N. ampullaria and N. gracilis.
Some plants sometimes release a middle pouch that is a mixture of bottom and top pockets. Benefits of Semar Bags In the past, this plant was only seen as a unique and exclusive plant, but over time this plant has attracted more attention because of its many benefits. Many certain areas believe that water stored in bags can be used as a prevention of bedwetting in toddlers, namely by pouring some of the water on the baby's head and drinking it on the baby. In addition, some regions believe that the water in the bag will facilitate the delivery process for mothers who are about to give birth, the used water comes from unopened bags.
