Evangelical Southerners have always been known for putting their crazy people out on the front porch for all to see - it is a time honored class and cultural folkway throughout the Bible Belt. Audiences are usually small but very appreciative of the free unpredictable dramas which often result in acts of violence and nudity, and almost always racist rants and "satanic panic." Now, the freak shows can be seen and heard far and wide with the popularity of talk radio and reality TV.
