So many interesting points touched upon that I am not sure where to start. So much media is focused on how expensive everything is and how people are going to struggle, but when I look at the main street of my suburb, the cafes are still full, some even have queues. Bars in the city are still packed like there isn't a care in the world. So what am I missing here? Things are definitely got a lot more expensive, but consumption is still very strong. Have we as a society forgotten how to limit ourselves and tighten our belts? Or are we just going to kick the can down the road and worry about it when we are really broke and living from cheque to cheque.

While this is the longest day of the year. It is also the shortest night. Which side is important depends on perspective.

Definitely a matter of perspective. In Australia, its the opposite as we just had the winter solstice and my daughter kept saying this was going to be the longest night of the year and while it's true, but this also means that the nights will only get shorter going forward. Is that a positive or negative? That's up to you.....
