Funerals are kind of a funny thing for me. Most of the funerals I have attended are more out of respect as it's normally the passing of a friend's family member.
But I believe the reason they are sad is that the loss of life makes us reflect upon ourselves and reminds us of the fragility of life, not just our own, but of the people around us. It's a reminder that we only have a limited time on this earth and we ask ourselves if we have done what we really wanted to do.
Now you have made me all emo and sad and I got to go to the bottleshop to pick up that bottle of whisky. Thanks mate....
