Great analogy with the fishing story.
However, as you can see, we still have to eat. And what this means is that the physical resources needed for survival need to be distributed widely enough, that firstly, no one can monopolize a single vital commodity and secondly, no one can too heavily influence the system to create legislations that offer them too much protection.
This I think is a fallacy though. Why? Because we are all human and it's human nature to a certain extent to be greedy. Even if we do a hard reset of the economy as a whole, there will be individuals who have greater skillsets and motivation to grab a bigger share of the pie, then the cycle repeats itself. Even in crypto, we see this happening as more motivated people try to grab a larger share. The whales will always try to cement their position at the top.
