Have you ever tried pointing a flash light directly to animal like dog or cat eyes in the dark? Most especially, the reflections shows with color. Most of the dogs has green or blue eyes when light reflected through their eyes. How about cats? Last month, i saw a group of cats playing around, it was in the hospital when i visited a friend who admitted there.
Those cats are playing around in the dark area away from lights. Im about to leave when i saw them, around 7 of them playing. I took my phone and took picture of them.
To my surprise, i never expected the result after checking my phone i saw an amazing different color reflections in their eyes. The flash from my phone reflected to their eyes and resulted to an amazing captions. Take a look below.
Different color reflections in their eyes
What a beautiful caption i got, i never expected that these cats eyes has different colors once lights reflects tho their eyes.
It creates curiosity that made me to do a research after seeing their photos with eyes having different in colors. As we all know, cats ca see even in the darkest night. That's true! They can see clearly at night and that's the time where they spend their strength hunting for their foods.
And why they have color reflections when lights pointed to their eyes? Its because of tapetum lucidum, as they called. Its reflective layer surface covered in their pupil that cause color once it reflects back. It has yellow green, green and sometimes red.
If you have cats, better check this out. Took some photos using your phone while the flash is on. Make sure that they are looking at your camera when you took photos. Amazing right?
