I'm a life-long Christian and student of the Bible. About ten years ago I made a translation of the New Testament, mainly as a personal project and not to compete with scholarly translations. I put it online as a read and study site, using code I wrote myself, to freely share with anyone who might benefit from it.
You can read it here: http://bible.fether.net/index.php . Along with the Preface and English translation, it also provides a Greek-English interlinear with popup lexical information, a crude search function, and a commentary on the entire New Testament. You can download both the translation and the commentary as free PDF files, or buy soft-cover printed versions at Amazon via the links at the Downloads tab.
I would be happy to know what others think about it, especially if it helped them in some way.
