Time capsule letter
You can write a letter to be locked in a time capsule which will be opened two hundred years from now. What do you write and why? Answer in at least 300 words and use photos you personally took if you can.
馃枍Letter to the future inhabitants of the earth馃枍
I greet you from the year 2023 and I will try to inform you about life on this planet when I was alive.
We usually live in couples, of different or same sex. We live in individual houses most of the time, sometimes in what are called buildings where there are individual apartments.
For most of us, life is punctuated by work, which we call work because we do it for several hours during the day to receive money in return, money that allows us to buy what we need to live, that is, a place to live and food.
As far as food is concerned, some workers are in charge of producing food for all the others, we call them farmers and herders. Some of us produce some of our own food, but not the majority.
We consume, we produce more and more to consume more and more, we run all day long to realize these famous tasks that allow us to receive the necessary money to consume, this is the lot of a large part of humanity in 2023.
The earth is divided into different parts, called countries or states, each of them ruled by democratically elected presidents. Just as prehistoric men could defend their caves, each country defends its territory and this leads to wars.
Because yes, in 2023, a large part of humanity is still in this dynamic of conquering the territory of the other, it has not evolved much since cro magnon....
Finally, I will finish this picture by the fact that nature and the animal world are suffering horribly, men continue to pump the resources of the earth for consumerist purposes, animals are considered as manna to feed this anthill of humans busy working. I am making a generalization here, but this is more or less the current trend.
2023 is one of those years of transition, we are beginning to see clearly the effects of our destructive actions on the planet and the animal world, global warming is gradually changing landscapes, the flow of ocean currents, the melting of glaciers, active devastating fires, as for the animal world, we are witnessing the extinction of species at an unprecedented speed without it being possible to remedy it.
Another revolution is underway: the explosion of artificial intelligence. This was already present in our daily lives mainly via IOT applications or in the industry sector, however the general public now has access to it to generate content or visuals.
New generations begins to claim and find alternatives solutions to save our world and specie, I can see magnificent projects being born despite all the current darkness.
I hope you have found the earth in good condition, still as blue and green, beautiful, alive and welcoming as it was at the beginning of humanity, I do not know if there are still humans there but if it is the case greet them from me and above all tell them that the only important thing here is to take care of life, life in all its forms, to cherish the earth because it is a nourishing mother, living , and so unique light years away from any other planet like her. Remind them that they are not separated from nature, that they are basically animals, certainly gifted with thought, and that the secret of their subsistence lies in the link they will maintain with this night-loving mother earth.
