If you have ever played Crossy Road before then you will understand what SteemHop is all about immediately because it is basically the same concept but this one is on http://steemhop.org and it has that very addictive, simple but frustrating gameplay that keeps you coming back, in this clip you can see exactly how it works, you are controlling this small white chicken with a little red comb on its head and your only job is to keep hopping forward, you have to cross roads with moving cars, you have to jump on logs that are floating on water and you have to cross train tracks without getting smashed, it looks easy from outside but trust me it is not easy at all.
The gameplay you are watching here is very intense, you can see at the top left it says -2, -1, then it starts counting up 1,2,3 as I keep moving forward and my top score is 93 while I have 225 coins already collected, the chicken starts from that dry desert area with small trees and rocks and the first obstacle is the road with those purple and red cars moving fast from left to right, if you time it wrong you get hit and you are back to zero, after that you have to cross the water by jumping on those brown logs that are also moving, you need to be very precise because if you miss the log you fall inside the water and that is game over, that is why you see me waiting small before jumping.
As I kept going further you can see the difficulty increases, after the water there is another road and then another set of train tracks and they added coins and extra obstacles to distract you, you can see my score moving from 5 to 6 to 7 to 8,9,10,11 and that is the fun part of SteemHop, you are always trying to beat your last top score, the controls are very simple you just tap where you want the chicken to go but the timing is everything, and in this run I managed to get to 11 before I got hit by the train and the big STEEM HOP logo came on the screen with that blue background and then it restarted again from zero, that is how addictive the game is, you just want to press play again immediately.
What I really love about SteemHop is that it is not just a normal endless hopper game, it is connected to Steem blockchain and you can actually earn while playing and that notification you saw pop up about receiving a vote on
