Level 585 of Johnny Trigger was driving me crazy because the first part was easy and then the second segment just broke me 馃槨 I started with 9115 green gems and 35 purple ones, full confidence because level 584 was smooth. The first section had those wooden crates and a guy on a crane. I swung, lined up the shot, "HEADSHOT" and he dropped. Got to the checkpoint with the blue "1" sign, the game said "CHECKPOINT" in green and I thought "okay this is just another easy one." Everything was going perfect, I had all 3 segment bars still white and I was feeling like I was about to clear it fast.
Then I entered the second segment and that鈥檚 where it all fell apart. The game puts you inside this brown building structure with a big open window. Outside on a metal bridge there were 2 enemies waiting with guns. I swung in, took cover behind the wall and tried to peek. The moment I showed myself they both started firing red laser beams at me. "PEW PEW" and I was getting hit from two angles at once. I tried to shoot the first guy but the timing was off. I鈥檇 swing out, shoot, and before I could swing back the other one would tag me. The level gives you no cover in that spot and the enemies are up high so you have to hit them while also dodging.
I failed that second segment like 3 times in a row and each time the big orange "LEVEL 585 FAILED" screen would pop up with the restart button. It was so annoying because I could see the third segment through the building. There was another enemy down there but I never even got to him. The problem was the angle. You have to shoot upwards at the guys on the bridge but if you stay out too long you get lasered. If you hide too long you can鈥檛 get a shot off. I tried rushing, I tried waiting, I tried headshots, body shots, nothing was working. My guy in the blue hoodie just kept dying right there in that window.
The worst part was knowing the first segment was free and the third segment was probably easy too, but I was stuck on the middle one. I could clear the crates, hit the checkpoint, walk past the lamp post and then boom, dead in the building. The gems were just sitting there on the left side taunting me and I couldn鈥檛 collect them because I kept dying. Every "PEW" sound made me madder because I knew exactly what I did wrong but my fingers wouldn鈥檛 do it right. Johnny Trigger does this to you, makes the middle part 10x harder than the start so you waste lives there.
Eventually I had to quit and go back to the menu. The game showed "TAP TO PLAY" with my progress bar at the bottom showing I had the first segment done but the second and third were still empty. I have 9115 gems so I鈥檓 not worried about upgrades, I just need to figure out the timing on that bridge. Next time I鈥檓 going to wait for one guy to shoot, dodge, then swing out and headshot him before the other one fires. Level 585 isn鈥檛 impossible, that second segment is just designed to punish you if you rush. I鈥檓 coming back for it though because leaving a level failed feels worse than losing.
