Fate Calls Again
On Monday we had the @DLux-io guys(@markegiles &
@disregardfiat) on the Jon and Blunt show. We were chatting a bit about Google SketchUp and how the files can be exported to .obj files to make things for the VR world.
By coincidence the following day at work I was given the opportunity to test out my skills again with the program by building a 3D model of a countertop display.
So I downloaded the 2017 Google Sketch Up Make version which was what the @Dlux-io team recommended. Now I haven't used many other CAD programs aside from AutoCAD that i use for work and that is the Lite version which I don't think allows 3D drafting.
Luckily I had used SketchUp before just to play around with a few years back in college, it seems very intuitive if you've already used another CAD program.
Here is the completed first version.
The boss decided he wanted to add another product line to the right side. So a bit of a revision was in order. I had to split the side to add some quartz to the top area.
The Revised Version
Now the next step, I'll have to follow @A1-Shoom-Spores guide "How To Create YOUR OWN Project On Dlux!" to figure out how to import my CAD to the VR world!
Hopefully if i can find the time I will build a little session spot for @Canna-Curate so people can come blaze and chill to the radio there. Maybe put up some bud art on the walls? Let me know if you have any ideas I could incorporate. Thanks for coming by. Keep on Blazin4Steem!
