Sola is like a Instagram or Twitter, only it pays you, the content creator, in a new cryptocurrency called SOL.

I joined just yesterday. Signing up was pretty easy. All I needed was a valid email address and a phone number.

I made my first couple simple posts based on the pictures I already had on my phone.

As you can see, in just a short time I earned 33.85 SOL. That other number (the 375 Action Points (AP)) is the inhouse points system used to give users a finite amount of "upvote" capital. Starting off, a new user receives 100 AP.

Caution: Don't spend it all before you make your first post!

I spent mine before I realized that it would cost me 5 AP to make my first post. LOL.

Mainly I spent my AP on swiping up (that's Sola's way of saying you "Like" a persons post) on @papa-peppers posts. I had to get @allforthegood to sign up through my link just so I could receive an additional 100 AP and actually make my own post. Rookie mistake, haha.

The Action Points having a finite supply forces users to really consider whether a persons post is worthy of a "swipe up." It's meant to guarantee the best content gets the proper recognition.

Thanks to Steemit, as time goes on, more and more of these Social Media platforms coupled with Crypto will emerge.

Some will stick, some will fade into the ether.

Some will make early adopters filthy rich while others will leave users crying into their pillows.

That's why I always caution people to treat Crypto like stocks and bonds or even Vegas money.

Don't spend what you can't afford to lose.

Which one will Sola be?

Not sure yet, but I'm going to find out.
