We had a deal!
No really, we had a deal with a local licensed septic installer.
The deal was that they would dig the tank holes and the distribution lines and we would install all the lines with washed gravel and then back-fill them.
Not just for one property, but for my property as well as 3 others in the community in which I reside. This way, they had 4 jobs lined up in the same neighborhood and we saved considerable money doing most of the work ourselves.
It's a win/win/win/win situation.

Previously, we had done the work for 
His was the first, so it took us a couple of days to get it done, since none of us had ever installed drain-field lines before. Sure, we've all glued PVC, used a transit laser level, and operated heavy equipment, but this was the first time we had done all three together, together, at the same time.
It wasn't hard, but being newbs, we wanted to make sure the job was being done right and according to applicable State and local codes.

and some help got too close to the slippery edge and got stuck (not going to name names)
When it comes time to do my system, it should only take us half a day.
