An oasis of tranquility in the middle of the city. That's what it says but it's not even in the middle ...
Busy time, things get precipitated, a lot of stress that fell out of the blue. I cannot keep up anymore ...
I feel the need for a little quiet but not the quiet of the house. My new office colleagues and old inhabitants of this city where I live temporarily have recommended me to visit an old monastery hidden from view.
Galata Monastery in Iasi.
A true oasis of peace.
We just had to get through the heavy door at the entrance and get to another world. Without cars, trams and hurried people in all parts ... The thick walls of the monastery separate two worlds: our modern world and the one half a millennium old. How strange is that the sounds of the city are not able to cross over the ten-meter-high walls. Galata is a nunnery, a small number of women are taking care of all this space.
It's hard to present as I wanted peace and quiet found inside this place.
At the same time, when I write this is late in the night, HBO2 gives the film: Bohemian Rhapsody! I can not resist not seeing it again! It's past midnight, I've lost #beautifulsunday that should have been published before Sunday. Sorry.
I have to stop here and promise to make a much more detailed presentation of the monastery in a later post. I have a lot of photos.
Sunday didn't start great for me, but she became beautiful with this visit and even sublime because of the pleasure of that unknown place so far.
It has become a habit to share with you how I spend Sunday. It was not my idea, I answer to the challenge launched by @ace108 and
@c0ff33a!
This was for #beautifulsunday and #sublimesunday in the beautiful town of Iasi, Romania, 28/July/2019.
