Ep. 6, Rock Faces, and Ground Scenery For Cape Cod Highline
The top of the watefall: Upper Pilgrim Lake, needs more structure, more rock and form to hold the water in, for the waterfall. As well, I seal in the lower and upper lake areas, in preperation of the water resin pours painting and two part resin pour.
UpperPilgrim Lake
Using Woodland Scenics' Hydrocal, I create and pour a layer to seal the bottom of the lake areas, both upper and lower. In addition, I build up the rock, to give some dimension. I will use Yellow Ochre, Slate Gray, Stone Gray, and Black paint washes to blend the rocks into the mountain.
I pour different lightweight hydrocal into silicone moulds, and paint them. Finally, I use Woodland Scenics Ground Cover, to begin fashioning the greenery of the mountaintops!
