T'Was An Amazing Day!
Lobster Dinner
So, just me, alone, in the beach house, finishing up with summer memories, and cleaning house. I am thinking back, to that last big day, with all of us, together. Amazing Whale Watch: We saw 3 Mola Mola (Ocean Sunfish), a Minke Whale, and 6 different Fin Whales. Oh yeah, and some 40 or so Humpbacks!
Later, A fantastic meal, seen above, with the lobster dinner. We cheated a bit... usually doing all the work ourselves... but a bit of a treat. Our local Seafood store will cook, and crack the lobsters for you., So we ordered 6 at 2lbs, cooked, cracked. We bought 6 ears of corn. Cooked it ourselves. I made the above Caprese Salad, with basil, tomato, and Mozzarella. My Tomato. My Basil. We cheated and used the local farm fresh Mozz! and some imported Balsamic. (Italy)
After dinner, we hauled our butts fast, down the end of the street, to chase the last light, across the bay. We look out, and see the setting sun. Across our beach and our bay, setting behind the Queen's Castle, in Provincetown, and love the colors on display!
All in all, I really cannot complain about life! Wonderful kids, amazing world, for me to see and take pictures. I hope that the next summer, and the one after and all the rest bring more of the same. For me, as a kid, growing up here, it's what I had... and one way or another, I always found my way back for a touch of life, here. I hope for my children, they, too will find their way abck from whatever adventures life brings them, for a touch of Cape Cod Life, in summer!
JUST as I am about to hit POST the sky opens up! If I remember my high school Literature Classes, rains signify change, in the story, and so, the seasons and summer changes!
To the animals and birds around me
to put more plants in than I take out
And be a good steward for the world around me!
