Following up on my previous post looking at gold cards, we now will look at rare shadow cards that I feel are undervalued and have potential to increase in value while also keeping relevant in gameplay. The same reasons for these hold true that did the gold cards in that these cards are more rare than meteorite, bonuses for gameplay for future daily P2E rewards, and overall collectability.
Now let us get into the three cards at hand.
1. Dream Stalker (5.33, 6.00)
Sleep Deception had it's day in the meta for a short period at the beginning of the year however it was a short ride. Sleep cards I think always have a place in the game especially with a quick deck like deception has. Dream stalker destroys all creatures that are sleeping and works well with cards such as gorgon gargoyle, spellbound, and exorcise. As you can see above, the shadow price card is slightly lower than the combined value of five meteorite cards.
2. Ares Peacemaker (5.46, 10.50)
A great name paired with the right God is the name of the game for this card. Ares destroys all creatures at the start of the turn which can be used in a few different decks. Decks that are built on low health for the death god works well with this card as well as late game decks using apoclypse now and hypoccria. Looking at the price, this card has a significant gap of five dollars between the shadow price and the combined value of meteorite cards.
3. Revenant Lynx (13.50, 22,50)
The lynx really saw a boost a few months ago with an aggro nature deck as you could play a marsh walker and black jag along with the revenant on turn three and over power your opponent quickly. This type of aggro strategy with nature will have it place in lower leagues and could see a return in the meta with the everchanging core and expansion sets. Refreshing two mana is always a good ability in my opinion. This is another card that has a great ROI potential in my opinion with the shadow card at 13.50 and the combined value of meteorite at over 22 dollars.
As you can see, there is great opportunity right now to pick up these cards on the cheap and also build up the strength of your deck. If you believe in the future of this game, there is not doubt these cards will go up in value over the long term.
