I'm a recent player of Splinterlands, but in my short experience I'm sure this was only the 4th or 5th time I tried to put the grupy dwarf in my lineup. It's just not the one I go to when I have some mana to spare for a support character in the 2nd position. Nonetheless, I thought that this weekly challenge was indeed a real challenge, so I tried to give it a chance at least once.
I had such a chance for a lowish mana battle (17), limited to the use of low level cards and with equal opportunity. I tried a combination woth death, as it was my daily quest at the time. I don't know what went through my head at the time, but I think my choices could have been better.
And now, the replay of the battle to close this short battle summary:

As you can see, it started OK, but quickly went down the drain and I got well and truly spanked.
My strategy was poor, and it showed. Even behind the shadowy presence, the dwarf was too weak once the buffer had been quickly taken care of by my opponent. Even with the debuff of my summoner, the fire monsters hit too fast and too hard for mine, and the regeneration of the cerberus was truly a boon for my opponent.
Will I do the same next time? Most certainly not, as I will let the grumpy dwarf on the bench, where I usually left him. Sorry grumpy dwarf: we're not a match made in heaven!
