steemit numbered page navigation

Cons Of Using The Infinite Scroll

The navigation system on steemit is rather tasking than helping. With the infinite scroll, users who seek older posts would have to keep scrolling without an end point expecially in personal blog pages.
Infinite scroll is mostly common with social platforms and Steemit is more than just a social media platform. Infinite scroll, it is very time consuming to navigate to pages that holds the information one seeks.

Constant scrolling is not only tiring, it also uses up one's browser memory and limit page performance.

Why Numbered page Navigation Should be added On Steemit

With the numbered page navigation, users can easily jump to the last page in a post listing and back to the first. Users can also jump to any page in a post listing while using the numbered page navigation.

It will be a welcome development if the steemit development steem build a navigation system that allow users to choose between using infinite scroll and numbered page navigation easily in their settings page. Thus users who prefer the infinite scroll will stick to using it, while users who would rather use the numbered page navigation will get a chance to switch over in their settings page.

Benefits of Using A Numbered Page Navigation

The numbered page navigation or pagination will help users find information easier and it decreases the load time of a site as well as preserve browser memory.
It also helps easy navigation through pages and posts. One can easily jump through posts and pages

Conclusion

There may users who may like the infinite scroll, but since steemit is made up of people with different interests and preference, an infinite scroll would definitly be displeasing to some users. Personally, I prefer the numbered page navigation as it is easier for me and hastens navigation through posts.
