La m煤sica y el baile de la Bachata son considerados por el pueblo dominicano como una manifestaci贸n cultural vern谩cula, prevalente en todas las actividades y celebraciones comunitarias, como fiestas de cumplea帽os, nupcias, bautizos, reuniones familiares, fiestas navide帽as, graduaciones acad茅micas, eventos deportivos yactividades pol铆ticas, ocualquier otro tipo de reuni贸n oevento social. Bachata is a danceable musical expression, the product of a fusion of the rhythmic bolero with other Afro-Antillean genres such as Son, Cha cha cha and Merengue, etc.
The music and dance of the Bachata are considered by the Dominican people as a vernacular cultural manifestation, prevalent in all community activities and celebrations, such as birthday parties, weddings, baptisms, family reunions, Christmas parties, academic graduations, sporting events and political activities, or any other type of meeting or social event. In essence, Bachata has become part of everyday life.
