Partner situations can be sticky. I had one for about eight years. It didn't end in disaster. We're still friends. But it taught me not to rely on anyone else for my livelihood. It worked for a good eight years until we decided to part ways. There are courses you can take that teach you business principles, but I think it also helps to have the right temperament. It isn't for everyone.
