This is a misconception. HBD would have pretty much the same stability without the hbdstabilizer's existence. Independent actors are already incentivized by the HBD conversion mechanisms to stabilize the price. The main benefit of the HBD stabilizer is that it helps the DHF profit a little from stabilizing the price.
