Another question if you do not mind me asking something somewhat related to votes not going to the platform, do the developers dislike the idea of HIVE being social media?

As to dev opinions, I can only answer with complete confidence for myself. I view the social media aspect as being a useful aspect of Hive, because it facilitates communication between community members and the voting system allows for a way to focus attention on ideas that are of interest to community members and reward good ideas and work.

But I don't consider it the dominant aspect by any means: I think the social media apps are just the beginning of the types of apps we will see built on top of Hive. My near term goal is to make Hive the go-to blockchain for scalable and easy-to-develop 2nd layer apps.
