Yes, but unfortunately I'm afraid the economics are lost on the average person. I suppose I should have anticipated that.

Looks like the idea is dead in the water, but it wasn't dear to my heart to begin with, more of an intellectual exercise in how to eliminate auto-voting, and it seems like most people like auto-voting (or the perceived reward at least). Or maybe people just want to encourage staking, there's plenty of evidence for that too :-)
