RE: Hallo HIVE ! It's me, Mickiewicz.
I don't have an exact date, as we will release it as soon as it is ready, but we're very close and I don't think it will be long now. At this point we're just testing and fixing bugs. For the past few

RE: Hive Backed Dollar: Showing Need For Decentralization And Distribution
The low side peg for HBD automatically breaks when it exceeds 10% of the virtual supply. So in the scenario described, where someone buys HBD while Hive is high, then waits for Hive to drop, they still

RE: Hallo HIVE ! It's me, Mickiewicz.
Just a quick note to everyone to confirm that @mickiewicz is a key developer for HAF, and in particular for the hive fork manager which is one of the most innovative portions of the design. Most of our

RE: Only 100 million HIVE left on the exchanges
I don't see any point in recent time where it was down to 0.94. I have had several bots trying to buy below $1 with much real success. On coingecko there appears to have been some super small dips to around

Yes, it should be relatively simple to support SMT-like functionality (and much more) with the 2nd-layer smart contract platform we're planning.

RE: Thinking about privacy
I'm planning to build various privacy capabilities into the information rating system that will be linked to Hive. This privacy would come in at least two forms: the ability to selectively share information

Yes, so far Hive is handling all the traffic without even breaking a sweat. I think we have headroom for at least 10x current traffic without any further increases to our existing infrastructure. And I'm

RE: 22nd update of 2021 on BlockTrades work on Hive software
Increasing the post payout period would increase memory requirements for a hived node. In fact, there was a time during Steem days when posts paid out in two separate payments (7 days and 30 days), and

These graphs show the evolution of prices in USD for HIVE and HBD. Graph of Hive price is missing.

Ok, so if I'm reading your graph right, then powerup/powerdown was mostly "net neutral" during the past 30 days. Leaving unexplained where the other 10M Hive went. I suppose it could have all

I hate to contradict a positive story for Hive, especially when I do think Hive is doing very well, but if you take a look at some of the some of the Hive statistics posts, you'll see that most of the

RE: How to PRINT MONEY with HIVE and HBD
I've confirmed with the dev that it works as expected, not as described by @ecoinstant: it is the lowest price among median prices from last 3.5 days. So an outlier price error from one or two witnesses

AFAIK it is the lowest median value over the period, not the lowest feed value. That was how it was specified originally. I'll double check with the dev to be sure it was correctly implemented.

Yes, it would be interesting to see how fast it could be, especially since we know we're much faster now as we're using broadcast_transaction calls. But I still think such a test is best done on a testnet

And you're right, we've got some near-term plans to pre-emptively improve scaling further. I don't have any numbers to backup my engineering intuition yet, but I expect the new HAF-based account history

My primary goals for Hive are very simple: make it the easiest blockchain to develop apps for make those apps scalable to real-world demand We'll do a few other things along the way, but those two goals

The network burned 500K Hive in the last week alone, just from the Hive->HBD conversion operation. And Splinterlands burned around 170K Hive creating new accounts. And we're probably on track to do

RE: Hive Financial Statistics – 2021.08.29
If I'm reading your graphs right, it looks like 20M Hive is no longer liquid. And it looks like 10M of that Hive got converted to HBD and an additional 0.5M Hive got burned during the process. So that
