RE: Hive Power Up Day - Let's grow together!
Your'e confusing the minimum deposit limit and the deposit limit. The deposit limit is the "max" you could send. In this case, the max limit is so low because you haven't provided KYC info, so

RE: It seems that I will be making more on Blurt
Hi, there's a serious flaw in your math: you received a one-time airdrop on Blurt which is completely messing up your results. I'm quite confident that if you add up sums from your posts, you'll get quite

RE: Hardfork 24 progress (HF date: Oct 6)
I wasn't planning on it, as I think there's probably plenty of people who will be willing to take on such a task, and my preference is always to let others help out where they can. But if no one else does

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
Originally curation rewards were non-linear (in fact they were n^2). But super linear rewards gave a huge advantage to larger stakeholders.

RE: Weekly progress update: hardfork date changed to Oct 6th
Hive.blog is operating ok, but I know there was one other person reporting a problem with cloudflare that impacted their ability to use hive.blog. I'm using hive.blog to reply, so it's definitely ok.

RE: Weekly progress update: hardfork date changed to Oct 6th
There is still a bit more work to be done, but at this point I think we've become familiar with all of the hivemind code base and created enough tests that I don't think there's any areas left that can

RE: Weekly progress update: hardfork date changed to Oct 6th
Your question is well timed, since I think there's a plan to put a countdown timer on hive.io. It wasn't done sooner as no one was comfortable as to the date being final. But this date looks pretty final.

RE: Hardfork 24 progress last week
There are minor changes to the API. Most of those changes have been made at the level of the API libraries used by the apps. So, for most apps, the major change will be to update to later versions of their

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
Relatively speaking, all the other stuff is easy to change. We literally don't know how to stop self-voting, because the same person can own more than one account.

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
My point is I don't think curators primarily curate for rewards. Because the rewards are much lower than the work involved. At best, the rewards are a bonus for whatever primary reason that curators vote

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
The disconnect here is that you seem to think some big whales are making a ton of money from posts here. That's really not the case. Whales aren't whales because of author rewards. It's because they believe

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
Voting anonymity is a technical challenge in a decentralized system. I'm not saying it's impossible and I'm going to see what I can come up with to solve the problem. But it is really a hard problem.

I think that's definitely on the list for the next hardfork already. Should be reasonably easy to implement, so it's a bit of a no brainer.

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
I think it's asking to much to expect your posts to reward you at some monetary value equal to the work put into them. The same thing is true for curation. For example, you might think that my posts which

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
I think if we make the haircut rule too aggressive, no one will want to use HBD. Just having one at all makes HBD a little less attractive. And the haircut rule is also a little "unfair", because

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
How about a "vote diversity score" that accumulates over time and increases rewards if higher and decreases them if lower. Could help to get people to spread out their votes to new and neglected

RE: Proposal: reduce Hive inflation by reducing curation rewards
Ok, I think you're talking about the rule for when we stop printing HBD, not the haircut rule, which is when the system starts supplying less than $1 worth of Hive for a converted HBD. These are two separate
