Barcelona certainly will not part with one of the players who have become the identity of the club, Andres Iniesta. Because, Iniesta has just signed a new contract with Barca. The duration? Lifetime!.
Yes, right. Iniesta has just agreed a lifetime contract with Barca. The contract deal was announced by the club on Friday (6/10) afternoon local time. Barca immediately announced on the club's social media account.
The contract extension was attended by Iniesta and Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu. The event was held in Palco President Sunyol's room at Camp Nou.
Before finally reaching an agreement, Barca and Iniesta had a chance to pull a new contract. In fact, there had been speculation calling Iniesta to move. But, apparently this is only a rumor.
Iniesta himself made his debut alongside Barca's main team on 29 October 2002, barely 15 years ago. Currently, 33-year-old player has recorded 639 appearances and provide 55 goals in all competitions. (fcb / asa)
