Opera has not only launched its own crypto wallet but becomes the first major browser to creates it's own inbuilt crypto wallet.
According to a press release shared by the company on the 21st of October, the in-built crypto wallet will be available to Opera’s 350 million users which will enable them to send and receive bitcoin without no extension.
Not only will the crypto wallet be limited to bitcoin transactions, the head of crypto, Charles Hamel commented on this after the launch saying
We believe that opening our browser to more blockchains, including Bitcoin, is the logical next step to making our solution more relevant to anyone who has a Bitcoin crypto wallet and would like to do things with their cryptocurrencies beyond just keeping them in an account.
Although this feature was available on the beta version which ETH was the first crypto available for purchase on the website.
Currently the inbuilt wallet supports Bitcoin (btc) and tron (trx) Available for download for both Android and iOS here
