Hyperledger Cello is a blockchain module toolkit and another Hyperledger Project hosted by The Linux Foundation. The aim of Hyperledger Cello is to join the on demand “as a service” deployment model to the blockchain ecosystem. This is to reduce the amount of effort required to create, manage and terminate blockchains. This is done through a multi-tenant chain service which rests on top of assorted infrastructures such as container platforms and bare metal virtual machine.
There are a number of features which distinguish Hyperledger Cello from other projects:
It can manage the life cycle of blockchains, ie create, begin, pause, delete, track health automatically.
Supports customized blockchain requests, rather than only Hyperledger Fabric.
Supports heterogeneous architecture, such as POWER and Z, X86 ranging from bare metal servers to virtual machine clouds.
Supports bare metal virtual machine, swarm or Kubernetes and native Docker host as its worker nodes.
Extends thorough monitoring, health and analytics and log features by implementing additional components.
