WOO Is Quiet This Weekend But the BETA Countdown Is Getting Interesting
A Big Hello to all WOO Fans! 🥳🥳🥳 WOO!
There is not much happening in WOO this weekend, but I have a feeling that the upcoming BETA pack launch could be a good reason to let things settle down for a while. Sometimes, when something new is approaching, the lack of activity can be just as interesting as having another event to jump into. We already know that WOO BETA packs are coming, and this is a pretty big development for anyone who enjoys collecting cards and watching the game grow.
I have gotten some feedback that reminders are pretty useful when it comes to the regular events held in WOO. So here I am again with a quick reminder for any upcoming events.
The announcement has given us quite a bit to think about. The planned sale will run for 90 days, with 150,000 packs in total, including 135,000 packs for the public sale and an initial reserve of 15,000 packs for the ecosystem. Each pack costs $2 and contains five cards. That is a lot of cards potentially entering the WOO world, so I can imagine players are already wondering what this means for collections, future gameplay and the marketplace.
What makes the announcement more interesting is the limited Beta card pool. There are 60 different talent cards planned across male singles, female singles and tag teams. There are no manager cards in this edition, which makes me curious about how the available wrestlers and tag teams will shape the early collections. Getting in early could be appealing for collectors who want to own cards from this stage of WOO's development.
Perhaps this quiet weekend is simply a chance for everyone to digest the news while the bigger preparations continue in the background. I have no idea whether that is the actual reason for the lack of weekend activities, but it seems reasonable to think that a launch involving packs, collections, wrestler pages and marketplace features deserves some attention. There is quite a bit more to consider than simply announcing a sale and opening the doors.
For now, I am happy to wait and see what comes next. A quiet weekend does not necessarily mean there is nothing to look forward to, especially when a new chapter is being prepared. If the BETA launch goes well, we might look back at this period as the calm before a much busier time for WOO. Until then, the countdown is something worth keeping an eye on.
TLDR: This is a reminder to all my readers (and WOO fans) that baring any last minute sudden surprise events, this weekend should be a relatively quiet one. 😜
Well, that's it for today. We will continue again tomorrow! 😁 WOO! 🎉
