The "old" Battle Challenges are now a thing of the past (at least for now?) and they have been replaced with the "Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Support Articles".

For any old Hivers/Splinterland players who've just come back and are confused, fret not! Even with the name and format tweaks, right at it's core, battles are still the foundation of these posts.

In this week's edition of my Support Articles, I will do something drastically different from my usual battle showcases. Instead of war, I will become a peaceful teacher showing all new players how to most effectively use your GLINT and hence gain enough power to match up against even the toughest opponents!

So without further ado, let me introduce this new mysterious resource to you! 🎉

In Splinterlands, Glint is one of the most valuable currencies, allowing players to purchase cards, loot chests, and other valuable in-game items. But knowing how to spend your hard-earned Glint wisely is the key to success, especially for new players. Whether you're just starting or have been grinding away in the arenas, understanding the best way to navigate the Glint Shop is essential for maximizing your potential. In this guide, we’ll break down strategies for players at different Glint levels, so you can make every piece of Glint count.

⚔️🛡️How to Spend Glint Wisely in the Glint Shop🛡️⚔️

With all that being said, here is how I would advice new players on how you should spend your precious Glint resources

For Players with Low Glint (1-1,000 Glint):

Focus on Minor Loot Chests (200 Glint per chest): Minor loot chests offer a great entry point for new players with limited Glint. Each chest could give you low-tier cards, potions, or even small Dark Energy Crystal (DEC) bonuses, which can boost your progress without requiring a huge investment.
Save for Rare Card Draws (750 Glint per draw): If you’re close to 750 Glint, consider saving up for a rare card draw. Rare cards are significantly more powerful than commons, making this a valuable long-term investment.

For Players with Mid-Range Glint (1,000-10,000 Glint):

Invest in Major Loot Chests (1,000 Glint per chest): These chests offer a better chance at higher-tier rewards, including more valuable cards and DEC drops. The return on investment (ROI) is generally better than spending on minor chests once you have more Glint to spend.
Epic Card Draws (7,500 Glint per draw): Once you reach the mid-range Glint level, epic cards become a game-changer in your deck. Their abilities and stats often turn the tide in battle, so investing in epic card draws is a wise move.

For Players with High Glint (10,000+ Glint):

Go for Legendary Card Draws (35,000 Glint per draw): Legendary cards are the pinnacle of Splinterlands gameplay. They possess powerful, game-altering abilities that can elevate your deck to new heights. While costly, this investment pays off in the long run, especially for competitive players looking to dominate in higher leagues.
Ultimate Loot Chests (4,500 Glint per chest): If you’re looking to bolster your collection with a mix of cards, potions, and other bonuses, ultimate loot chests are a great high-value option. These provide top-tier rewards and are an excellent way to build a diverse collection.

Bonus Tips for All Players:

Participate in Events: Look out for in-game events that offer Glint bonuses or discounts in the Glint Shop. Events can give you more bang for your buck, allowing you to stretch your Glint further.
Plan Ahead: Don’t rush your Glint spending. Sometimes it’s better to save up for that epic or legendary card instead of making smaller, short-term purchases. Having a clear strategy helps you maximize your Glint in the long run.
