A Big Hello to all WOO Fans! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ WOO!

One of the things I enjoy most about WOO is the feeling that there is always something else to work towards. Whether it involves improving our roster, progressing through the various reward systems or preparing for competitive matches, there is usually another objective waiting around the corner. However, most of these activities have traditionally revolved around our own individual organisations. We make our own decisions, manage our own resources and enjoy the rewards of our own progression.

That is why I find the introduction of WOO Promotions particularly interesting. It changes the way players can approach progression by introducing a shared organisation with its own resources, leadership structure and development goals. Instead of simply improving our individual wrestling operations, we can now contribute towards something that belongs to a wider group of players.

I think this could become one of the more important social developments in WOO, especially once players begin forming their own communities and establishing rivalries.

A Shared Organisation Means Shared Responsibility

When a player creates a Promotion, they are essentially establishing a new organisation that other players can join. It starts with Headquarters Level 1, and its founder can customise its identity through a name, a short tag, a biography and an emblem URL. Membership can be open to everyone or restricted to invitations.

What interests me here is that a Promotion is not simply a group of players sharing the same name. It has its own progression system, treasury and buildings. This means that members will have to think about how they want their organisation to develop.

The shared treasury is particularly important. Members can contribute WOO tokens to help fund construction and upgrades, with transfers authorised on-chain through Hive Keychain. Once contributed, the WOO remains in the Promotion treasury and can be used to support the organisation's development.

I like the idea of this because it introduces a collective objective that individual players cannot achieve simply by progressing on their own. A member might not have enough resources to develop a facility independently, but several members contributing towards the same objective could make it possible.

Of course, this also introduces a new level of responsibility. Whenever players contribute their own WOO towards a shared organisation, they will want to know that the resources are being used sensibly. Leadership and communication will therefore become important considerations.

I can imagine some Promotions developing quite organised approaches, with members discussing which buildings should be prioritised and how quickly they want to progress. Others might take a more relaxed approach, allowing members to contribute whenever they feel comfortable. Both approaches could work, depending on the personalities and ambitions of the people involved.

Understanding the Promotion Treasury and Points System

The Promotion dashboard introduces several figures that members will need to become familiar with. These include Treasury WOO, Current PP, Lifetime PP and Headquarters Level.

Treasury WOO is probably the easiest to understand because it represents the shared WOO held by the Promotion. It provides the resources needed to fund building construction and upgrades. Members can contribute towards this balance, making it a collective pool rather than an individual's personal wallet.

Promotion Points, or PP, introduce another layer to progression. Current PP represents the points available to spend on development, while Lifetime PP tracks the total points earned over time. The distinction is important because Lifetime PP is used to meet certain unlock requirements but is not consumed when used to satisfy those milestones.

I think this is a sensible way of separating progression from spending. It means that an organisation can demonstrate how much it has accomplished over time without losing that historical progress every time it upgrades something.

Headquarters Level is another important measure because it determines the organisation's overall capacity. As the Promotion develops, it can accommodate more members and bookers, while also unlocking additional buildings.

The combination of these figures gives members a clearer picture of where their organisation stands. It is not simply a matter of looking at how much WOO is sitting in the treasury. Players will also need to consider how much progression has been earned and which requirements still need to be fulfilled.

Personally, I think this is where some of the more interesting strategic decisions will emerge. A Promotion might have plenty of WOO available but still lack the required PP to unlock an upgrade. Another might have accumulated sufficient progression points but need additional contributions to pay for construction. Both resources will matter.

Leadership Will Matter More Than Ever

Another interesting part of the system is the introduction of leadership roles. Promotions have owners and bookers who can handle important responsibilities, including Territory War registration and booking assignments.

This creates a natural distinction between establishing an organisation and helping it operate. The founder may have created the Promotion, but that does not necessarily mean every responsibility should fall on one person. As membership grows, having additional bookers could make managing the organisation much easier.

I suspect the best Promotions will be those where leadership is active without becoming overly controlling. Members should have a reason to participate and feel that their contributions matter. If everything is decided by one person without communication, the shared nature of the system could lose some of its appeal.

At the same time, there needs to be some coordination. Territory Wars will require members to fill available booking slots, and someone will need to make sure the organisation is properly registered and prepared.

This is where I think the social side of WOO could become particularly enjoyable. Players might start discussing strategies, recommending suitable wrestlers for different match categories and coordinating their participation. Instead of simply logging in to complete individual activities, there could be a reason to communicate with fellow members.

Choosing the Right Promotion

Not everyone will want to become a founder, and I think that is perfectly fine. Starting an organisation comes with responsibilities, including the initial creation payment and the challenge of attracting enough members to make it worthwhile.

Joining an established Promotion could be a much better option for players who simply want to participate in the new content. An organisation with active members and experienced leadership may already have a clear development plan and an understanding of how it wants to approach Territory Wars.

However, I would not automatically assume that the largest Promotion will be the best one. Smaller groups could potentially offer a more personal environment where everyone has a meaningful role. A large organisation might have more contributors, but it could also require more coordination to ensure everyone remains involved.

There is also the restriction that players can only belong to one Promotion at a time. Leaving triggers a cooldown before joining another, so it is worth thinking carefully before committing.

I see this as an encouragement to treat Promotions as more than temporary groups. If players are going to contribute resources and work towards shared progression, they should ideally find an organisation whose goals and approach suit them.

A New Kind of Community Within WOO

Ultimately, I think the biggest opportunity here is the possibility of creating stronger relationships between players. Blockchain games often have communities built around trading, collecting and discussing game mechanics, but WOO Promotions could introduce another reason for players to work together.

There is something satisfying about knowing that a contribution made today could help an entire organisation unlock a building tomorrow. The achievement is no longer limited to one player's account. It becomes something that members can share.

Naturally, we will have to see how the system develops once it goes live. The initial release gives us the foundations, but the long-term experience will depend on participation, leadership and how meaningful the progression rewards become.

For now, I am looking forward to seeing the different organisations emerge. Some will probably be built around competitive ambitions, others around friendships, and I would not be surprised if a few are created simply because someone has come up with an absolutely ridiculous Promotion name.

Whatever direction players choose, WOO Promotions gives us an opportunity to experience the game differently. We have spent plenty of time building individual rosters. Now it is time to see what happens when those rosters become part of something bigger.

Well, that's it for today. We will continue again tomorrow! 😁 WOO! πŸŽ‰
