I think I have figured out why WOO might be taking it easy this weekend. Everyone is too busy doing maths!
I have gotten some feedback that reminders are pretty useful when it comes to the regular events held in WOO. So here I am again with a quick reminder for any upcoming events.
October Onslaught has a 100-level Battle Pass, with each level requiring 700 XP. That means completing the entire track takes 70,000 XP, while the available progression adds up to around 83,000 XP. On paper, that sounds generous enough to give players some breathing room, but it also creates a familiar gaming problem. When there are more objectives available than the minimum required, people start wondering which ones they can skip without missing out.
That is where the weekend disappears.
You log in intending to play a couple of matches, then remember that you still have daily quests to finish. Next, you check the weekly objectives and realise there is a tournament or event requirement to think about. Then you notice a seasonal quest that looks achievable, so you decide to squeeze that in as well. Before you know it, your relaxing weekend has become a personal project involving XP calculations, quest priorities, and a running tally of how many levels remain.
Perhaps WOO has decided that there is no point adding another activity when the existing Battle Pass already gives players so much to manage. The 83,000 available XP compared with the 70,000 needed for full completion gives us a potential buffer, but that does not mean every player will progress at the same pace. Some people will finish their objectives early, while others will need to plan around their available time.
And let us not forget the Premium track, which costs 10,000 WOO. When players have invested in Premium, they naturally want to make the most of the rewards and progression available to them. Nobody wants to discover that they overlooked a straightforward quest that could have brought them closer to the next level.
So perhaps the quiet weekend is actually a public service. WOO is sparing us from additional distractions while we attempt to become amateur accountants of wrestling-game progression. We can review our quests, calculate our remaining XP, and decide whether we are comfortably on track or need to put in some extra matches.
That is my excuse for the silence, anyway. I cannot prove that WOO is deliberately giving everyone a chance to catch up, but the numbers certainly provide a convincing story. If you see me staring at a calculator instead of watching wrestling, just assume I am preparing for the next big WOO event.
TLDR: This is a reminder to all my readers (and WOO fans) that baring any last minute sudden surprise events, this weekend should be a relatively quiet one. 😜
