A Big Hello to all WOO Fans! 🥳🥳🥳 WOO!
I think we may have found the real reason WOO is quiet this weekend. The Summer Meltdown has finally done what its name promised. It melted everyone.
When you look at the August event schedule, the whole month has basically been designed around increasingly ridiculous heatwave themes. We started with Code Red, followed that with No Shade, moved into Rolling Blackout and then reached One Last Sunset. That is quite a journey for four weeks, and at this point I think everyone involved deserves a cold drink and somewhere to sit down.
I have gotten some feedback that reminders are pretty useful when it comes to the regular events held in WOO. So here I am again with a quick reminder for any upcoming events.
The nice thing about this theory is that it does not require anything complicated. Maybe WOO is quiet because the Summer Meltdown has simply been intense enough already.
There have been 150 Jobber Packs available during Code Red, followed by 200 Gym Bags during No Shade. Rolling Blackout brought another 150 Jobber Packs, while One Last Sunset closes the main sequence with another 200 Gym Bags. That is a sizeable amount of rewards being offered across a relatively short period.
At the same time, the August Battle Pass has been running throughout the month, giving players another progression system to work through. So if WOO suddenly decides to have a quiet weekend, I am not going to complain too much. In fact, I think it might be necessary.
Imagine being a WOO wrestler during this month. You have already survived the heatwave, then the lack of shade, then the blackout, and now you are watching the sun set over the final event. At some point, you are probably going to look at your opponent and suggest that both of you just go home.
From the player's perspective, there is also plenty to keep us occupied. The Battle Pass is still progressing, and the quest system gives players reasons to keep logging in even when there is not a special event happening that weekend.
That is something I think is easy to overlook. A quiet weekend does not necessarily mean there is no content. It can simply mean that the existing content is being given room to breathe.
After all, the Battle Pass requires 60,000 XP to reach Level 75, and there is a sizeable list of Daily, Weekly and Seasonal objectives available. Players who are still working their way through those goals probably do not need another distraction.
So perhaps the quiet weekend is actually part of the Summer Meltdown experience. The temperature has gone up. The events have come and gone. The rewards have been distributed. Now everyone is standing around backstage wondering why they ever thought holding a wrestling event during a heatwave was a good idea.
I am perfectly happy to accept that explanation. Maybe WOO is not preparing to melt down. Maybe WOO has already melted down and is now cooling off.
TLDR: This is a reminder to all my readers (and WOO fans) that baring any last minute sudden surprise events, this weekend should be a relatively quiet one. 😜
