A Big Hello to all WOO Fans! 🥳🥳🥳 WOO!
It feels a little strange when a weekend rolls around and there is not a major WOO event or announcement waiting for us. We have become so used to seeing new features, new rewards and new things to talk about that a quiet couple of days can almost feel like something is missing. But after everything that has been happening with Battle Pass Season 2, I am starting to think that a quiet weekend might actually be exactly what WOO needs.
I have gotten some feedback that reminders are pretty useful when it comes to the regular events held in WOO. So here I am again with a quick reminder for any upcoming events.
The biggest reason is that there is already plenty happening inside the game. Battle Pass Season 2 gives players twenty eight days to work through fifty levels, complete quests and collect rewards. There are Daily, Weekly and Seasonal quests, so even without a special weekend event there are still plenty of reasons to log in and make some progress.
Personally, I think it is quite easy to underestimate how much content that actually represents. You can play matches, work towards wins, open packs, burn cards, participate in tournaments and claim your daily rewards, all while progressing through the Battle Pass. When you look at it that way, perhaps we do not actually need another event every weekend.
Sometimes it is better to let the existing content breathe. I also think there is probably some value in giving the WOO team a little room to see how Season 2 is performing. This is the first proper season following the experimental nature of Season 1, and there are quite a few changes to monitor. The Premium Track has jumped from 1,000 WOO to 25,000 WOO, the reward pool is much larger and the XP system has been adjusted to give players more flexibility.
Those are all things that players will naturally have opinions about. A quiet weekend gives everyone the opportunity to experience those changes properly rather than immediately moving on to something else. Players can figure out whether Premium is worthwhile for them, work out which quests fit their playstyle and see how quickly they are progressing towards Level 50.
There is also something quite enjoyable about simply playing WOO without constantly waiting for the next announcement. We can focus on our matches, open a few packs, chase another reward and slowly watch that Battle Pass level increase.
Not every weekend needs to be a major event. Sometimes the most important thing happening is simply players continuing to play. And knowing WOO, I doubt the quiet period will last forever anyway. There will be another announcement, another feature or another event for everyone to start discussing before too long. Until then, I am quite happy to take this weekend as an opportunity to make some progress through Season 2.
So if WOO feels a little quieter than usual this weekend, I am not going to complain. Maybe this is not WOO taking a break. Maybe it is simply WOO giving us some time to catch up.
TLDR: This is a reminder to all my readers (and WOO fans) that baring any last minute sudden surprise events, this weekend should be a relatively quiet one. 😜
