I usually upvote anything that I like, so, if you say something nice like "Thank you" or "Hey, nice post" I'll throw you an upvote. I usually upvote most people who comment on my posts because I'm grateful that you took the time to do that.
If you post something funny or amusing, educational, inspirational, whatever. As long as I like it, I'll upvote you.
The thing is, though, that I have always wondered if this "costs" me anything. Do I expend a resource to upvote? Should I be using my upvotes more sparingly? Does it perhaps reduce the value of my upvote if I upvote something that really shouldn't be upvoted?
On a side note, I've noticed that my vote is now worth $0.02. Haha, I almost have a value as a human being.
If anyone educated on how Steemit works could take the time to answer my concerns, I'd be very grateful. Thank you.
