Hello guys, hope you are having a great day? So this is my entry to Red fish rally-500....If you were going to explain the blockchain to someone who knows nothing about it, what would you say? What terms or analogies would you use to illustrate how it works?
This is a conversation between a friend and I.
bliss11: Hi, how have you been?
Friend: Am fine but not doing so great.
bliss11: Why? What is happening with you?
Friend: Well, for some time now have been at home with no job, there is nothing to do, just home bored all day. Most of my friends have one or two things going, even my instagram is looking so normal to me. I just wish I can find something new and interesting to do, to take my mind off things.
bliss11: Am so sorry to hear about all this. Okay, I do not know if I can be of help but wait....Have you heard of Steem Blockchain?
Friend: Steem? What is that?
bliss11: Okay, first let me get you something to drink.
Friend: Thank you
bliss11: Steem is a blockchain network on which steemit social and blogging network operates. Steem is the name of the token used here. Hmmm you can think of steemit like instagram but way better than instagram in many ways.
Friend: Tell me more, how is it better than instagram?
bliss11: On steemit you create a good content of your own, it could be an article, a poem, a review, photography, vlog anything you can think of that is original and put it up as a post then you get the likes in form of upvotes. The upvotes you get are rewards for putting up an interesting post and most importantly an original content unlike instagram where people do not care if the post is yours or not they just like it and move on. Steemit do not tolerate plagiarism or copy and paste, it encourages people's own work.
Friend: Wow.... That's new and interesting.
bliss11: The more interesting part of it is that you can also earn while you blog..but let me tell you steem is a cryptocurrency and it has it ups and downs too but has long as you keep up with the good work you would be rewarded. You also meet with other people, you make friends from different parts of the world that are ready to support and help you...very interesting people. Not just that you also learn different things on this platform from every sectors of life,it is a world on it's own.
Friend: So what helped you grow on this platform?
bliss: Ah! Lots of things you know. I tried to socialize, first I got introduced into steem terminal discord group. A discord group is an extended family in the steemit state,there you meet with friends,they help you through anything you do not understand and support your growth. Another thing that helped me grow on steem was my taking part in different challenges and contest, one of which am currently in right now and there are other various contest going on too that makes this platform fun. Also, my growth can be attributed to my every day effort, I try to put in my best because am still growing.
Friend: Can you show me your steemit account? Oh wow...But what are these words at the end of your blog?
bliss11: lol...They are called tags. You put a tag to your blog to make it easy for other steemians to locate. For instance, if you write something about your life then you use the the tag "lifestyle" "life". When someone searches for posts under the tag life, your post would not be found missing lol. Then add the rest to gain more support on your post.
Friend: Oh... I see that is good.
bliss11: Come join the platform, you just kill like 3-4 brids with one stone. You blog No more boring moments, meet new people, learn more about crypto currency and other interesting stuffs plus you earn too......you can even invest when you already into it and end up becoming a whale.
Friend: Who is a whale?
bliss11: Wow! You sure ask a lot of questions 馃槹
Friend : Am interested that is why, okay how do I start?
bliss11: Now that's a good question, let's go we would talk about it over lunch.... 馃榿
