i LOVE using blacks that are not black. or at least if i AM using black i add lots of colours in to make it not flat and dull. Ultramarine and burnt umber make a nice black.

and gorgeous dark grey, (as above) get some black, some dioxazine and ultramarine, a little bit of white and possibly a tiny tiny bit of the yellow ochre and watch that grey pop. its so nice. Have a go. It looks so much better in person.
