i was just coming on to say that the energy companies are jolly sneaky here too and it pays to read the fine print.

We just got solar installed and a HUGE stystem that is enough to power us all day and the battery all night, and battery about 50-60% full by morning and its still only winter.

I rang the company to get us on a different plan as we dont need any bought power, and the plan they decided was PERFECT for me... mean we got DOUBLE the rate of pay for our excess power in exchange for a higher daily fee for connection.... and i was like..... ummm...... right how is that helpful. and THEN the kicker, the double rate was only for the FIRST 10KWH and then it halved again.

So sneaky.

so basically going from $1.30 a day to 1.90 a day for a connection fee.... to gain 40cents of power buy back????

the lady on the phone was like.... "Yeah isn't that a good deal..." and im like... did you do any maths at school
