yeah... they certainly pack a punch the brown snakes, as an ex ICU nurse, ive seen a brown snake kill a person... they sure make a mess if they get ya... but again MOST bites are people being silly walking in grasses, or trying to kill them... we get the pretty lizards in our garden, they are super cute... (but also bite...) however they will only if you actually pick them up.

im not "scared" of snakes, like if you gave me a harmless tree snake to hold id bee like "sure" but the nasty bity ones can get the hell outta my garden. ahhh.... Australia
